We had a really lovely Sunday Lunch recently at the Sun Inn at Crook – it’s only a couple of miles away from the Wheelhouse at Staveley and we would recommend that you check it out if you get chance – it’s a really friendly pub and serves great food! Thanks to Pauline, who runs the Sun Inn, and her staff, for a great meal.
If you are looking for a treat, why not do what we did and indulge in a massive one litre ice cream selection for the family from Kimi’s Artisan Gelato here in Staveley – yummy! – fantastic ice cream and a place that you should definitely visit when you come to stay at the Wheelhouse at Staveley!
We love the fact that the Wheelhouse at Staveley is so conveniently located for the fantastic facilities that Staveley has to offer. You don’t need to use your car if you don’t want to!
Everything is within walking distance. The Eagle and Child is a great place to stroll to for something to eat and a few local ales. The food is wholesome and well cooked and you won’t go hungry! The bar also serves a selection of real ales, and everything else that might also take your fancy too! There’s also the Beer Hall at the Hawkshead Brewery that not only serves loads of different beers (and other drinks) but also serves a selection of quirky bar “tapas” which is really nice.
If you just want a quick take away, then you have also got the Staveley Fish and Chip shop down the road as well.
In the evening, there’s a great selection of options available within walking distance, and during the day, there are even more options! But we’ll talk about that in our next blog!
